Hey everybody, this page is in progress right now. If you see some sort of incorrect information, please correct using the contact form. I try hard to get the facts straight, but with brand new studios sometimes you can get a detail wrong, and, if that happens, I encourage the studio to get in touch so we can have the most accurate information…
I’d actually really like to do a little interview with the BangBros VR porn production side of things…I’ve got things I’m really curious about…I’ll see if I can make that happen in the coming days…
I also want to watch the full-length scenes that are listed as 5K. As you’ll see below, I’ve only seen the previews thus far. Now, to be fair, as I’ve said many times, a VR porn studio is best served if they put their best foot forward with the previews. It’s in your best interest as a business to make a sample of YOUR VERY BEST WORK available for free. Okay, enough of this red text preamble…let me stumble down off my soapbox and pour out a bowl of my no-frills cereal and a glass of gin…
Who’s Virtual Porn?
Okay, so Virtual Porn is a newish VR porn studio that’s connected to the somewhat legendary BangBros gang.
So, what does that mean?
The porn studio BangBros is kind of a big fucking deal in the porn world. Would you agree with that? I’m not a 2D porn expert or anything, but it does seem that way.
Am I wrong about that? They seem like a big deal to me.
Okay, enough of this big deal talk. Let’s keep going…
BangBros Self-description
Let’s take a look at how the BangBros 2D studio describes themselves first. I understand that the VR porn side of things is called Virtual Porn…but, I’d like to see how the parent organization describes themselves:
‘Bangbros is the original Amateur Porn Network. Founded two decades ago, Bang Bros has been shooting original adult movies and updating daily, creating the largest amateur porn library around.
When you join bangbros you get access to over 8000 of the highest quality xxx movies on the web. Containing about 4000 of the Top Bang Bros Pornstars and hard to find Amateurs.
Daily updates include full length never before seen high definition videos for streaming and download as well as downloadable high resolution pictures and screencaps. So join Bang Bros now and start downloading the best porn today. Thanks and have a wonderful day.
– The Bang brothers”
So, the thing that caught my eye in that description is the founded two decades ago part. And, 8,000 scenes? That’s a lot of porn.
And, another important part that I think they left out of that blurb: the BangBros are based out of Miami, Florida. If I’m wrong about any of this leave it in the comments, okay?
Now, here’s the thing. We’re not reviewing BangBros. We’re reviewing their VR tangent called Virtual Porn. (Great fucking domain name, by the way.)
Virtual Porn studio self-description
Presently (December 2, 2021) I don’t see that these good folks are offering a self-description. I would encourage them to put forth a terse statement that gives a sense of their VR porn identity.
This Bang Bros VR Project’s been percolating for some time now?
There’s been chatter about a Bang Bros VR porn project for a damn long time now. I don’t want to go into that now, but…I did want to mention that I’ve been hearing murmuring about this for quite a while. And, now it’s here. So, let’s continue with this first impression analysis…
So, why the different branding? Why not call it Bang Bros VR?
So, ya’ll know I’m a naive blockhead of an asshole, but yea…I am wondering why not just call it BangBros VR?
Why call this Virtual Porn rather than stick with the very established BangBros branding…why not just follow the Naughty America pattern and call it BangBros VR?
The Naughty America pattern is that they were a well-established 2D porn organization. And, when Naughty entered VR in 2015, they just plopped it under their flagship Naughty America brand. (It’s sometimes referred to as Naughty America VR, but you get the idea…)
Virtual Porn as a studio name is really a great fucking name. And, it sort of amazes me that this domain name was even available. I’ll guess that it was purchased years back and they’ve been sitting on it…
Anyway, about not using BangBrosVR…
Is there some obvious explanation I’m missing?
Well, I guess the obvious part is that if it were rolled into the BangBros branding then it would be expected—I imagine—that it be included in the BangBros subscription price? Maybe? And, by calling it something else, it clearly has its own separate charge that entitles the consumer to JUST the VR porn scenes.
You know, no offense to BangBros or anybody else, but this makes me consider what a good deal the Naughty America model is where the single subscription price gets you a huge VR porn library along with a super-fucking-huge 2D library.
Now, before anybody gets stupid here…No, I’m not shitting on BangBros. And, no, I’m not in the bag for Naughty. I’m just stating the facts.
Even still, though, I wonder why they didn’t just roll it into the BangBros flagship and leverage the power of that BangBros name, because I can tell you that the big majority of new subscriptions you get on the VR side will be from people who have NO interest in your 2D side of things anyway. And, really…how many of the existing 2D subscribers are guys with VR headsets tucked away in their closets just waiting for BangBros to offer 3D?
So, in other words, to my brain it really doesn’t make any difference…except, I think you’d be better off leveraging that BangBros name as in BangBros VR…from my distant perspective (in which I know virtually nothing about their business), I prefer the conceptual model used by Naughty America to handle the addition of VR porn content to an existing, highly successful 2D operation.
As mentioned, there’s a whole lot of inside business info that I’m no doubt unaware of…
Anyway, why do we always get Goddamn tangled-up in the weeds here?
I can’t fucking help it.
Anyway.
The women of Virtual Porn scenes?
Britt Blair, Payton Preslee, Alex Coal, Gianna Dior, Kali Roses, Camila Cortez, Roxie Sinner, Kay Lovely, Hime Marie, Marica Chanelle, Kira Perez, Sera Ryder, Kay Carter, Blake Blossom, and others.
So, first thing that strikes me is that while BangBros describes itself as the “original Amateur Porn Network.” This side VR branch certainly isn’t shooting “amateur” actresses. Now, I know this terminology can get into some almost…stupid semantic dimensions…but, nonetheless, this list of VR gals are the same big name Americana stars we’ve seen with the Wankz gang, Naughty and others…
How many scenes are there total on the VR side of things?
It appears to me that—as of December 2, 2021—there are a total of 25 VR porn scenes available from Virtual Porn.
What’s the release schedule?
One New VR scene every week. It’s listed as 5K.
How much does this cost?
So, it appears that a month is $24.95 and a year is one payment of $94.95.
Anything in particular distinguishing Virtual Porn from everyone else?
Among other things, I noticed that a number of their scenes have a darker-skinned stunt cock. There has been an absence of this in VR porn writ large up until this point. And, this is a good development that will expand the consumer base. People get really hung-up on the talk of “immersion” etc., and it’s taken a long time to get to this point…truth be told…
How’s the quality of the actual VR?
It’s all right. I’d call it “solidly okay.” If the whole BangBros Miami dealio with their roster and vibe works for you, the quality is good enough for you to get off.
With that said, there’s plenty of room for improvement. The scale felt just slightly small to me, and the overall sense of spatial correctness just wasn’t quite on-point. And, I was watching the 4K/60 fps scene previews. And, in 2021, 4K scenes really feel like 4K scenes. 4320×2160. I see that their site advertises VR 5K.
So, the general VR porn optics: yes, they could be improved considerably in a number of different ways from actual shooting to camera to production to post-production, etc.
But, this is a new VR porn studio that’s just got it’s first 25 scenes out. And, we’ve witnessed a lot of studios struggle (almost all of them) in their first batch of releases. So, that’s how this process works.
So, yes…lots of room for improvement here. But, I can simultaneously say that they’re off to a good start.
Is a Virtual Porn sub worth the cost?
Well, the VR porn market is a tough one for new studios going up against established guys who have 700 + scenes. But, see the point above about the darker-skinned stunt cock distinguishing this studio. You don’t get that with the other studios even with their deep libraries. So, Virtual Porn really does have something setting them apart.
Additionally, their roster of women is pretty fucking impressive. These gals have got loyal fans who want every bit of 3D they put out…so, there’s that aspect also.
So, you don’t need me to say much more. You know if this matches up with what you’re looking for…
Good luck, Virtual Porn studio.
