Below are what I consider to be the 10 most important VR porn scenes of all time.

Please note: I”m not saying these are the best VR porn scenes of all time. They’re not. This isn’t me saying that such and such is the best VR porn video of all time.

What I’m saying is that I’ve been following the VR porn industry very closely since the spring of 2015. At that point, how many VR porn scenes were there in the wild? Less than 100? Sure…at that point there was basically Virtual Real Porn, and…um…Virtual Real Porn! OG!

So, I’m saying—in my opinion—these scenes below were the most important ones in respect to VR porn’s development. These are the ones that often had the most impact on what we’re presently viewing.

And, the present state of the VR porn industry is pretty solid. But, I think there is a legitimate and reasonable industry critique which I discuss at the end. These scenes are just all around noteworthy for varied reasons, which will be discussed.

VR porn analysis

I think VR porn is an art form worthy of analysis. That’s what’s kept me interested here for going on eight years.

Nowhere else on the Internet will you get this type and level of VR porn analysis. And, when I say that, it’s not your typical bullshit hype statement. And, it’s not boasting. I literally am stating a fact that there’s nowhere else on the Internet where you will get this level of VR porn analysis.

Reddit’s biggest spammer

Don’t believe the “moderator” spammer at Reddit with his stickyed and cloaked affiliate links pinned to the top: while simultaneously raging about affiliate links and banning legitimate content. So damn cute! You can’t make this stuff up. Where’s your affiliate policy? And, where is The Action Is Go when the world most needs his caustic righteousness! Action left and that place went…fully crooked, folks! Unbelievable…Action, you gave me hell, too, but I miss you…

Let’s do this

I believe the following are the 10 most important scenes in VR porn history. I’m not saying they’re the best or greatest VR porn scenes of all time. I’m saying they’re the most historically significant. I’m saying that they had an impact on the course of VR porn in some cases. And/or they simply are noteworthy for some reason. Bear with me, I’ll explain why for each one. 

If I got something wrong…always a possibility…or if there’s an argument to be made for something that should be on this list instead of something else, leave a comment below.

10. CzechVR 1000th scene

This scene’s the exception because it’s not so much that it influenced VR porn’s development…it’s just that it’s CzechVR’s 1000th scene.

It’s self-explanatory, I believe, that being the first Vr porn studio to reach the 1000 scene milestone is a pretty big fucking deal. And, CVR commemorated the occasion with quite a scene! It’s called Magnificent Seven and it features Alexis Crystal, Isabela De Laa, Jennifer Mendez, Jenny Wild, Lexi Dona, Lovita Fate, and Sofia Lee.

The CzechVR gang had released their first scene—CzechVR 001 Milena—on November 27, 2015. And, in November 2021 we get the 1000th. Quite an accomplishment. And, at the present moment, they’re at 1228 videos. But, that number will be going up very soon.

9. BaDoinkVR Heart Shaped Ass

So, this February 2016 Zoe Doll Heart Shaped Ass BaDoinkVR release was also accompanied by this unexpected announcement from the BaDoinkVR brass:

“Hi everybody, we just want to say that we’ve heard all of your feedback, and we’ve taken a lot of those strong points into careful consideration. It’s our focus and responsibility to bring you the best content VR porn has to offer, both technically and visually.

We have jumped ahead in our scene release queue and shot new videos with a completely new and mindful approach. Heart Shaped Ass is our first video with these new improvements applied, in an effort to increase the overall quality of our videos. Please let us know what you think and we hope that you enjoy!”

This made it clear that the BaDoink gang meant business about remaining a major player in the VR porn industry. At that moment, there was still basically just the big three: VRP, Naughty, and BaDoink. This is what I said at the time about the VR porn industry: “In 2015, I was able to keep-up with and discuss every VR porn movie released. I can still almost pull that off if I tried really hard. Later this year, it won’t be possible unless I give up sleeping.”

So, it was a moment in time, all right.

And, I’ll tell you what: the BaDoink announcement turned out to be fully legit! This was optically beautiful VR that we just hadn’t see up until that point.

8. Blondie and Big Man BaDoinkVR

This October 2015 Blondie Fesser scene—Harley Gets A Tune-up—was noteworthy for being so creepy-crazy.  At this point, the totality of VR porn scenes in the wild was quite low. I don’t know, but I’ll say that there were less than 200 scenes total from all studios and everybody combined at this juncture. That would be something interesting to figure out.

Anyway, here’s the synopsis for this one: “After capturing Harley, “Big Man” deeply interrogates her right off the bat with his rough and penetrating techniques, taking Harley for a ride down the long and hard road of truth.”

Great stuff!

It turns out thematically this scene was most certainly an outlier for BaDoinkVR and for VR porn writ large as well. At the time, I was wondering if BaDoinkVR were going to go this type of spooky-horny direction because they had also released a kinda-sorta similar scene with Mistress Minerva.

7. WankzVR Zombie Slayers

So, the WankzVR 2016 Zombie Slayers release is another one where it’s hard to know the discussion’s starting point. Let’s drop the preview in here so you can first take a look at that.

So, I believe I can safely say that there was no preceding VR porn release more creative than this first Zombie Slayers effort. In respect to Zombie Slayers as an actual cinematic production… the only comparative references that come to mind are WankzVR films that followed it: imaginative gems like the other Zombie Slayers film, Origins  and the 3 part Wanking Dead trilogy: GREAT FUCKING PRODUCTIONS!…and, the Wankzo stuff, maybe  a Christmas VR..

WankzVR has my full appreciation for creating these intense cinematic efforts. I appreciate the effort. I appreciate the work ethic.

And, as I’ve gotten a little bit older…the thing I really Goddamn appreciate in this life is when somebody doesn’t go through life looking to do the minimum necessary to get by. I like a motherfucker who will shove a dynamite stick up the asshole of your expectations. SAY WHAT?

Anyway, I’d like to see WankzVR do some more big cinematic productions. I know these things are costly and time-intensive… BUT, IT’S WHAT I WANT!

I’d like it, though, if rather than the macabre sort of stuff we went a different direction. Something a bit like this new Blake Blossom scene by VR Hush that features a gorgeous driving section: give a fella some unexpected road tripping adventure with outdoor scenery changes…

6. Katie and that Goddamn Carrot for the Czech VR gang

Oh, Katie Rose and Czech VR and this scene that dropped on New Year’s Eve 2015. And, it was given away for free by CVR!

Oh, where to begin? Where the hell do I begin? At the time I said this:

“In VR porn…this movie is a masterpiece. Which is kind of funny, because it’s basically a video of a naked woman with a vegetable on a chair in a rather spartan room. Katy really sparkles in virtual reality! As does her carrot!”

Believe it or not, this was one of the very first VR porn scenes where the filming crew—from any studio—got the camera really really close to the woman! This release blew minds at the time.

And, for me…it demonstrated early on that you can create a highly erotic, thoroughly wackable bit of VR without much more than a beautiful woman and a good camera that gets close and a crew who knows how to process it all into a downloadable scene. I never forgot that. And, as a result, I can be a Goddamn pain in the ass when reviewing VR porn scenes because of this opinionated perspective I hold.

Well, come to think of it…it’s not such a simple affair, because if it were, everybody would have it wired…or, is it just that a lot of folks have different ideas of what the product should be…anyway…this is a very damn important scene in VR porn history which foreshadowed what was coming in 2016, which was VR porn’s best and most significant year when everything just went totally full-fledged HORNY for the first time.

5. WankzVR Dear Diary Jackpot starring Naomi Woods and Bella Rose

I think this August 12, 2016 scene was the turning point for me.

Prior to this, for some months there were a bunch of folks saying the Wankz gang had corrected their earlier problems with scale and various optical aspects. I know as late as Elsa Jean’s August 3, 2016 release I had a number of criticisms including “it’s still just a bit too small. And, to be more specific, although it’s all-around too small for me: it seems, in particular, it’s too narrow.”

So, I think this Dear Diary Jackpot scene was the turning point for me. And—again in my opinion—the optical experience stayed good from here on out and even improved at points, and, truth be told, regressed at points too only to improve again. So, really…this isn’t unique to this studio or even VR porn writ large…it’s really how progress often works in life.

Anyway, this Dear Diary Jackpot release I believe is the first WankzVR release where I said, “THAT’S FUCKING HORNY!” I’ve subsequently said that many times with their scenes. And, even if I don’t particularly like a scene as a whole: I almost will always be able to find a segment of a WVR scene that I think is mind-breakingly horny…

4. VR Bangers Grounded Horny Girlfriend starring Dillion Harper

Released on January 11, 2016…was this VR Bangers’ first scene released into the wild? I believe so… If I’m mistaken about this, please say so in the comments. Update: I asked Bangers about this and they said “it was one of our first.” I think they had some experimental beta efforts before that which might have made it into the wild at some point.

So, VR Bangers went on to be an award-winning studio and earned their spot in VR porn’s top tier.

3. Badoink VR – Tease Me Timea with Timea Bell

So, BaDoinkVR doesn’t generate as much chatter as they did in the early days. There was what felt like a big stretch of time when it was simply understood that BaDoinkVR was releasing the best optical quality. Period.

During the beginning of VR porn, people referred to “the Big 3,” which signified Virtual Real Porn, Naughty America, and BaDoinkVR. Truth be told, I think this phrase unfairly left out the Bangers gang because they were releasing VR porn scenes also that were worthy when compared to the standards of that time.

And, what were the standards of 2014 going through 2015 into the start of 2016. Basically 4K played on the old school Oculus headsets or a Samsung Gear VR or a Homido or Google cardboard viewer.

2. Naughty America VR Jaclyn Taylor & Nikki Benz & Marco Ducati in Birthday Surprise

So, as just discussed, this Naughty America release was a big day in VR porn history. Naughty America was now in the 3D game. And, they made quite a fucking entrance with this scene.

1. Virtual Real Porn Desired Cumshot Part 2 starring Irina Vega April 19, 2014

So, a lot of people think that it was Naughty America who kicked the VR porn door open with their July 2, 2015 release, Birthday Surprise starring Jaclyn Taylor and Nikki Benz. Truth is, in my mind, I kind of consider that to be the breakthrough release: the one that got people talking about this thing called…. say what? what’s it called, man? Porno VR or something? Johnny put his Samsung Galaxy in this cardboard thing and pressed play on a Real Porn Virtual scene and popped his champagne cork in 3 seconds flat…

Anyway, as you can see, VR porn’s original gangsters, VRP, had already started releasing legit scenes more than a year before this.

They didn’t start out as VRP…they began as OculusReal Porn.

Embedded below is the preview for what I believe is VRP’s first scene. This goes back a while, so if I’m remembering wrong, say so in the comments. This  is named Desired Cumshot 2, which seems a bit strange because it begs the question about where is part 1. But, there is no part 1 to be found. Maybe it was some type of internal test file for the VRP gang.

Anyway, this video is the one that started things off for VRP as a public VR porn production company.

You’ll see a lot of lists where somebody ranks what he considers to be “the best VR porn.” That type of thing tends to irritate me because I don’t think there is any definitive best. But…

I’ve been broken by modern assholery

I’ve been broken by the demands of this modern asshole society: so, I have some “best lists” too these days including the Best Value in VR porn 2022 and the 2022 VR porn movie awards. And, for a real hoot, check out the 2015 VR Porn Movie Awards…and look at the same from 2016…those are really interesting to look back at these days…before VR porn Reddit went totally crooked with sneaky moderator affiliate links all over the place including pinned to the top…

Inevitable and understandable shortcomings of the modern VR porn template

…at that moment in time, it was unclear which direction this whole thing would go. BaDoinkVR was posting experimental type scenes, and it was all pretty uncertain. Since then, things have settled down into basically 1st person POV B/G template featuring primarily cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, missionary, and doggy. That’s the basic template shot in 1st person as if the viewer is doing the fucking.

A lot could be said about this. It has its strengths, and I also think it has its weaknesses. But, ultimately it seems to be what’s consistently viable in the so-called “market.”

See, that’s the whole thing. If we existed in more of a vacuum and studios were creating scenes for just me, there’d be a hell of a lot more experimentation…especially including scenes that mixed solo, 1st person POV B/G along with 3rd person POV B/G into the same scene. And, the whole template would just be permanently ditched. All of it…the need for story lines/narratives, etc. I’m not saying none of that, but it would often be substituted for just a premise that could play out organically if the right talent were involved.

But, of course, the real world is different than that. And, if I owned a studio…truth is…I’d probably pretty much be following the formula also. At the end of the day, you need to have a viable business. And, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it…
